In April 1991 at an airport they were discarding Tatras 111 tankers, new units, they had done only 300 kilometres. The procedure was as follows: windows were broken, tanker and the roof of the cabin were blown up. They were pulled to a railway station, the wheels taken off and the rest put by a crane into a wagon - destination Kovosrot Leopoldov (iron scrap factory). Several of these Tatra 111s were started and they drove them to the station. We couldn't save a single thing, we couldn't buy anything, everything had to be destroyed - nothing has changed.
